PRINCETON, N.J. - USRowing is pleased to announce that 18 athletes have been accepted to the 2013 Women's National Team Freshman Camp June 10-16 in Seattle, Wash.
The camp is intended for athletes with elite level potential and aspirations, but who have only one or two years of collegiate rowing experience. The goal is to expose athletes to the U.S. National Team experience, train 2-3 times per day, row in a variety of boat categories, learn technical and physiological basics and train with athletes of similar caliber.
Olympic gold medalists Anna (Mickelson) Cummins and Mary Whipple will work with the athletes on and off the water, along with Conor Bullis, women's varsity assistant coach at the University of Washington.
